Dan earned his B.S. from South Dakota State University in 1988 and his M.S., Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis in Thermal Sciences and Systems from the University of Iowa in 1991. Dan was an engineer for Archer Daniels Midland, Cedar Rapids, IA where he was part of an engineering team that erected an 80 MW cogeneration plant. Continuing his career with ADM, he went to Decatur, IL as the Bioproducts superintendent, supervising the start‐up and development of the refining process for various amino acids then took over the expansion of Decatur cogeneration, making it the largest coal‐fired facility in the nation. Dan left ADM and started a new consulting firm with emphasis in utilities and processing facilities which included various services such as plant design, construction, operation and management. Dan is a Registered Professional Engineer in Minnesota and Illinois. As an expert in power generation and renewable fuels, Dan brings more than twenty years of power plant and process experience to the clients of IntegroEnergy.
